A technology consultant is an independent advisor that provides systems design and advice on all low voltage, automation, and general technology elements of a project. Because the consultant is independent, he/she is not beholden to any particular group of manufacturers or suppliers.

Creating bespoke system designs that meets your goals and budget using the best mix of products and services on the market, free from any allegiances to a particular mix of manufacturers;
Producing drawings and specifications that can be used by multiple integrators in a competitive bid delivery model or by your preferred integrator to ensure they are providing the best system for your needs;
Ongoing monitoring of the project to ensure that the systems are installed professionally and ultimately function as intended at the completion of the project;

JLC is not an integrator or a contractor. We do not sell, install, program, or service the components of the system. We are not dealers or representatives for any particular group of manufacturers.

This independence from the manufacturers is crucial. It allows JLC to provide designs that meet your specific needs using products that are best suited for the task without consideration for sales targets dictated by manufacturers.

Our senior consultant Jason has been designing systems for the high-end residential and commercial industry for nearly 20 years. He has designed and managed installations for some of the most distinctive luxury residences and the most respected institutions and corporations in the country. He has worked in the industry as both an integrator/contractor and as a consultant. JLC knows the industry from both the design and integrator sides of the fence and can help you navigate the process with an insider’s knowledge of the industry.

We produce the design, coordinate with your design team (architect/Interior designer) and send it to a collection of quality integrators that are an appropriate fit for your project. We review the proposals to ensure they meet the design intent and that you are getting apples to apples pricing. We review the proposals with you and help you make an informed value based selection.
